Why dont they just invite players specifically because they are good in a certain event? Already did it with Zegras, whats the issue with doing it for the whole event? Then just have the All-Star game for the All-Stars

Id rather see the top 8 players with the hardest shot than a top 5 of “who knows if theyll even hit 100” then the records will be held by the best, challenged by the best and possibly more incentive for players to improve their strengths. Itd be like the Guinness world records of NHL

They should invite Frk for hardest shot. He did play some in the NHL this year. It may end up being the hardest shot that missed the net! LOL

Trying and failing to not make some variation of a “I’d try to go five hole on Manon Rheaume” joke.

The only people who like the All Star Game are sponsors and players going to their first one. Instead of putting hockey’s WORST product on the bye week between NFC and AFC title games and Super Bowls, what if they played the All Star game last weekend and put a Stadium Series game or a full weekend of the best rivalries on this, the worst weekend of the non-summer sports year?

They hafta incentivize the winners more. Maybe no penalties for 20 games lol. Or their teams get 10 points in the standings. Yup, I went Harry Potter for that one. Losing teams lose 10 points. A full year of either not having to do the bs interviews or being able to say whatever they want. I dunno, just spit ballin

tbh all of the major sports a.s. games suck nowadays most players treat it as a free mini vacation and play like it’s practice. way back in the day before i was born was the last time an a.s. game was worth watching but back then players stuck on 1 team and played with pride and didn’t want to lose even if the game kent nothing standing wise.

… so clue me in on how Patrice Bergeron, of all people, is left out of the face-off competition?

      Because it’s not a face-off competition.
