Once McDavid and Eichel resign, this will be a David Clarkson caliber free agent class. If that.
Especially considering that Kempe isn’t going anywhere, neither is Connor, and I think the likelihood is high that both Ferraro and Andersson get traded and sign extensions at some point this season and that leaves you with one of the worst free agent classes I’ve ever seen.
Kaprizov and Necas are pretty good
Oh yeah, but I think there’s no way Kaprizov hits the market, and probably not Necas either. Even if he does, who else is there besides him?

I do think he’s right. If these players don’t re-sign you gotta think the teams trade them with the exception of Edmonton as they may attempt to win the cup one more time before we again collapse into mediocrity. Oh I hope McDavid just re signs.
Breadman on the list too. Peg is going to hurt if they can’t resign Connor and Lowry. As old timers, you’ve got Ovechkin and Kopitar. Even with this super class, I bet almost no one makes it to July 1st, 2026.
