Hawks won’t send Dach down as he gives them a little of what Foligno did as a physical presence. He’s been very good this year at doing the little things like checking and working in the corners and has been very successful so I don’t agree with you Josh, Sorry. Lardis is one dimensional right now and isn’t what’s needed. Dach is fine.
I think more of that is needed rather than less. This team is loaded with skill players. Until Boisvert and some other wingers arrive with some heft they are going to need guys to the dirty work. I’m assuming Foligno is gone as he’ll be 39 next year or re signed at way less than his 4.5 million dollar deal. You need the guys who will dig in the corners and will stand in front of the net. The ones the Hawks have are still a ways away. The only guys I would re sign that will be Hawks FA’s next year are Mikheyev and Grezlyck. Mikheyev has turned into a valuable piece and I don’t want him gone. I hope they extend him soon. And Grzelcyk can take over for Murphy and be the steady presence for the young D-Men. Thanks Josh
That’s fair, and I think Dach will be ticketed for a full-time role next year, especially if Foligno retires. I think with Ryan Greene getting more consistent top-six deployment, though, there isn’t a place for Dach in the lineup if they keep rolling 11-7. If that’s the case, it doesn’t do much for him to sit in the press box.
Serenity now!!

The question was what happens after Foligno returns, though. As you say, that makes Dach something of a redundancy.
