Damn, it’s like nobody wants TBA to play for them! Wait, am I “TBA”?
@The Mistake of Giving Eugene Melnyk a Liver Transplant — I’ll be announcing that later. @Gbear, back to you! :)
That TBA dude is horrible. Makes sense that he is cut loose. (If I was a player whose initials were TBA I’d freak out… Thomas Bob Anthony?)
He can’t be that bad…he played for almost every team in the league.
I’m reminded today that I’m old enough to have remembered the NHL waiver draft.
Will Cody Glass make the cut or will the Devils (or whoever owns his rights) decide his trade value is too much to let him walk. Canucks are so screwed. Real bad trade incoming…
Guess LA doesn’t even have that TBA dude.
Didn’t even know the Hawks still owned the rights of Raty and Saarela as they both are playing over seas now.
They were under contract this season, just loaned to Europe
Ahhhh, Thanks Josh. I thought they just saw no path forward and signed in Europe instead.
Kaliyev, Foote and Yams due for a change of scenery. Maybe AHL at this point…
Seems like everybody is just using the extra cap money to re sign their own guys. Nothing going on tomorrow at all? Or nothing worth while anyway. I can’t believe Vegas is dumb enough to give up players for a guy they can get for free. If he’s willing to sign an extension seems like he’s likely to want to go there anyway? Just sayin. Hopefully maybe some trades. Most FA deals are massive overpays anyway.
Dude, first off, there are 129 UFAs for tomorrow (as of this writing). This year’s FA is more about depth players than anything else as there are good number of talented players (even a few top 6 guys) still available for tomorrow.
Secondly, Vegas did the trade with Toronto because they needed to clear cap space. If they didn’t trade Nicolas Roy they wouldn’t have been able to sign Mitch Marner in FA. Vegas wasn’t dumb, they were smart but you’re not well-informed apparently.
It seems that more and more teams are deciding to keep their TBA instead.
I know habs had interest in pelletier at one point maybe take a chance on him. But 3 interesting names on that list that reaffirms who you have to take what “experts” say with a grain of salt..because truthfully no one knows the trajectory of prospects..
Aku raty. Oliver wahlstrom and Arthur kaliyev were all once viewed as superstars in the making steals of the drafts and cant miss prospects..
I wouldn’t mind seeing Pelletier used as a cheap Gaudette replacement in Ottawa.
I can see Pelts being a good 4th liner on most teams seems silly for Philly not to sign him
So frustrating to see Zac Jones not given a QO while keeping Carson Soucy. Utterly demoralizing as a Ranger fan. I wonder if GMs have access to the same information and watch the same game as us.
I agree with you, but Carson Soucy has another year on his contract for 3.25 million.
I know, I’m just saying they should have dumped him. Traded him for a 6th. Waived him. Anything. He was sooooo bad the last few games of the year.
Agonizing over Zac Jones v Carson Soucy. Current state in Rangers land. Funny stuff! Might be time for some fresh air.
Rangers drafted Jones in 3rd round. They couldn’t develop him properly, no TOI, no trust, no chance, scratched only.
Then they traded away another 3rd pick for Soucy who play dirt and he will be FA next year.
Wasted two 3rd picks – great job NYR!
Wish all the best for Zach and wish him to be next Pionk.
Rangers will never learn. It always ends with overpaid FA then buyout or ugly trade via wavers
I thought maybe the Pens could sign a player another team didn’t have room for…but so far…we have dumped the best player on this list…
Tomasino showed a fair bit last year. Giving him a 2nd line role and trading him for a 2nd round pick was one of the few things we could achieve this year.
I’m absolutely flabbergasted that Tomasino is on this list.
ONLY thing I can think of is that he was asking for too much and is line for too big an arbitration award, which would make him less tradable so we are playing hardball…?
Maybe we resign him, but…dunno.
I figured he and Novak would flank Geno after we move Rust and/or Rakell.
I see a couple of surprising names, Leason, Bernard-Docker, Zach Jones, And Tomasino. I’d bet that all four will be in the NHL next season.
