Pretty uninspiring list. Like I said if you want something you’re going to have to trade for it. As for the Hawks what they need more than anything is for some guys to step up to the plate and advance. Barring that they could be players at the deadline depending on how the season goes. It’s time for the prospects to step up or move out. I don’t think they’ll be real active this off season but maybe later.
This year’s list of UFAs isn’t a total waste by any means like some have claimed. The top players available (at the moment), such as Alex Tuch, Mason Marchment, Bobby McMann, Anthony Mantha, Boone Jenner, Erik Haula, and various others offer solid overall depth. This doesn’t even account for talent among defensemen or goalies, proving there’s plenty to admire in this year’s UFA pool.
That said, the RFA and Trade markets do appear more compelling this year IMO.
Very curious to what the Sharks do. They have tons of holes in defense and they have tons of cap space.
