The draft lottery is over and we finally know who will be selecting first overall. The Buffalo Sabres have won the right to pick Rasmus Dahlin, and you could see GM Jason Botterill shaking with excitement when he was given the news. But will it be enough to turn the Buffalo franchise around?

It would b amazing if the have could get Drisatil from Edmonton for the 3rd pick a 2nd rounder and a young player/prospect like Hudson, lekonan, Juulson etc. Edmonton needs players on ELC’s. Or lucic and Drisatil for the 3rd and a 2nd as that frees up 15+ mil on the cap for Edmonton. This will never happen but they are the 2 most likely scenarios if Drisatil is traded to the have and these are just the frameworks of the suggested deal

why would they trade draisaitl? I mean yes him and Connor are getting paid but they won’t break up that chemistry. like Pittsburgh, your more likely to see them try and flip lucic, RNH, one of their goalies, and one of their LD.
A RNH trade to the habs is much more likly then drisital but Leon is the better player clearly. Rnh would b a nice add as well

They decrease substantially for every 1 million more than Mike Green would cost.
Sounds like the Sens are blaming Boucher for last year but should the blame not fall more on Dorion for some poor personnel decisions. (condon contract, Oduya pickup, etc.)

Any rule changes likely in the off season? What rule changes would you like to see? Coach’s challenge for penalties? Elimination of the trapezoid?
