I would give the slight edge in the Subban-Weber trade to the Canadiens at the moment for two reasons. One is the positions of the two teams. The Canadiens have had far more success with the Weber thus far than the Preds have had with Subban. The second reason is connected to the first for Nashville. The Preds struggles have been partly tied to the change in leadership in the locker room. Weber owned the Nashville locker room for years. It was clearly his team. He set the tone for the team. That’s gone now & the leadership transition hasn’t been a smooth one for Nashville and there have been times where that lack of a go to leader has been very noticeable
