The thing that amazed me about the Hawks game last night was that Bedard and Nazar played at all. I don’t think that either of them should be playing much if at all before the season starts. Rinzel and Arty could probably use some reps because of limited NHL play last year. Those cuts were announced before the game and those guys need lower level reps so it’s all good.
I got to say Tampa really knows how to find gems in the draft as their prospect tournament and the few preseason games really displayed some true potential NHL prospects that could have really solid NHL careers, especially in a Tampa development system, that has a strong track record in developing and producing talent.
Not surprised by any of the cuts, they’re all developing still but some of the players from this group will be turning pro as early as next season.
I wonder if the Mammoth will give Curtis Douglas a shot. He’s making O’Brien expendable.
@scotty. Liam is a punching bag. Douglas is a much better fighter if they’re looking for that.
7 fights for Utah in the preseason so far, so they seem to be fine with it. So why not give Douglas a shot.
