Considering they’re heavy into a playoff race, how likely (& with who) are Canucks about trading Boeser & Suter? The status of Hughes & Demko seem to lean in this not a year to go deep if they make the playoffs, & their prospect pool is very shallow.
Just proving great minds think alike, I actually suggested David Carle in a previous post. Hawks need a fresh face not one of the 30 retreads who are passed around like beer at a frat party. Sounds like Rantanen gets moved and extended before the day is out. So I’ll put my thinking cap back on. Wonder what it would take for the Hawks to do it today? Hmmmmm
Unfortunately, Hawks can’t re-acquire Rantanen after already retaining salary on him. They’ll have to wait to sign. Ineligible to trade for him.
You’d think that should get them first shot since they’re already paying him. LOL
Darn, I meant to jump in here and missed it. Good luck today, Josh and PHR team!
Blast from the past! Good to see Gavins name pop up
My question on Boeser as fallback option to Rantanen for Dallas forgot one big obstacle. The Canucks owners and Stars owner hate each other; I wouldn’t be surprised if Aquillini puts his foot down, hoping for 2 more gates & never helping Gaglardi’s team win a 2nd cup…
Isnt a chat an open back and forth? These are more of a Q&A.
I think we are seeing the prices go higher as teams trading no the top spenders will have more cap room to sign guys vs have to fill with cheap talent and they are taking advantage of that.
ie. the Leafs or TB or Dallas will spend to whatever the cap is so why not make them pay extra draft capital they likely figure isn’t as valuable with a cap going up $15+ million over he next few
