It’s the final day for training camp cuts across the league as teams must be cap compliant by this evening. There will be many teams that orchestrate a delicate cap dance with some cuts today, just to call those players back up almost immediately. But for the time being, many young players will have to wait for their chance at the NHL level.

Really believed Bobby Ryan was on track to make the Red Wings with Vrana out for the next 4 months. Appears the youth movement won out so will be looking forward to watching Lucas Raymond lighting the lamp many times over this year.
@JayHeck2158 – Count me as one of those who was rooting for “Puppy Time” to stick with the team. The bulk of their veteran leadership will be on the blueline, for the time being, at least. Hopefully, another team with better sense will give him a shot, but the league-wide youth movement may make that a bit of a long-shot.
wow, Ryan’s a bit of a shocker. I wonder if Philly could fit him in.
Wonder if this is just a roster dance for season opener and they sign him on a one year. No salary cap issue for the Wings, perhaps they are trying to save a spot for a kid or pick up a player like Barre-Boulet from the Bolts.
Yzerman should know a little about Barre-Boulet better choice than Ryan..

Based on what I saw, it only said Brad Richardson has been place on IR. That’s all I saw.
