Jackets
The Jackets are in no way shape or form looking to let go of Brandon Saad. We are also no longer a “cap strapped” team with Clarkman on LTIR.
Doc Halladay
I do agree that right now, I doubt the Jackets are looking to move Saad. But come the off-season, he could be the best option to help create more cap space. As of right now, the Jackets have just under $6 million in space for next off-season and will need to re-sign Wennberg while also accommodating Werenski’s ELC performance bonuses, which he is likely to trigger.
If they could unload Hartnell, I think that’d solve all or most of their issues going forward.
