The rule book appears to address the deflection of a pass with the goalie pulled on a delayed penalty. Rule 78.5 (xi) states: “…a deflection off an offending player or any physical action by an offending player that may cause the puck to enter the non-offending team’s goal, shall not be considered a legal goal.”
