The calendar has turned over to November, and with it the frustrations of many fans are bubbling up to the surface. Teams like Montreal, New York and Edmonton aren’t performing like they were expected to, and it has coaches feeling the heat. Just yesterday we looked at one in Detroit, and there was already chatter that another was on his last legs.
So who is under the most pressure, and who will be fired first? That question is hard to answer, given the amount of turnover the NHL saw at the head coaching position just a few months ago. Would any of the teams fire a head coach just a month into his tenure with the team? Or will it be a tenured veteran that gets the ax?

For what it’s worth, Jared Bednar and Paul Maurice led this poll when we last ran it in April. With the Avalanche and Jets both in playoff positions, it doesn’t seem like they’ll win this time around.

Right or wrong, it’s gotta be Vigneault. The Rangers slow start is not exactly his fault but everyone knows the coach is always the first to fall.
Jeff Blashill needs to go as soon as possible. He just doesn’t know how to get it done at the NHL level. And, it looks as though the team has quit listening to him. When this happens, the players have lost whatever respect that they had for him. Plus, it doesn’t help in the least that the GM can’t do the job that he was hired to do. To me, getting rid of these two clowns would be the first step in restoring the Red Wings organization back to at least respectability again.
How do guys like Tortarella, Stevens, Boucher and Green have votes lol?
Hey Goat, I could be wrong but I believe that some of the fans just aren’t fans of these coaches. You question is very credible & you are right questioning this. Even though no one would know us, if our names were on that list, we would draw our share of votes. Man, you need to get on here more often because you do have a lot to share. Let me ask you something? You do realize that there were more than one PK on here, don’t you? Hope to see you on here more often.
