McDavid should talk to his linemate Lucic about dirty play.

I’m not a Flyers fan, but Manning did not injure McDavid on purpose last season. If you watch the replay, McDavid lost an edge to start the play. Manning’s contact came after McDavid lost the edge. He needs to stop crying & just play the game. If he lets things like this bother him, every single team is going to get on him. He needs to toughen up

The kid is plenty tough and this is the first time I know of that he has said anything. I believe him when he said that Manning told him he deliberately tried to hurt him. Why would he lie about that after he came to Manning’s defence last year saying he thought it was an accident? If Manning did it on purpose people need to know that.

Manning was just trying to get under Manning’s skin last night & it worked. Manning didn’t tell McDavid that he deliberately tried to hurt him last season. He said that they were going to hurt him just like last season. He said it to get him off his game & it worked because he got in McDavid’s head. If you watch the replay, it is very clear that Manning wasn’t the cause of McDavid’s injury last year. McDavid lost an edge on his own. Manning’s contact with him came after McDavid had already gone down. I hate the Flyers & they have taken cheap shots over the years, but McDavid’s injury last season was not one of them. I love McDavid’s game, but this is being immature

I agree with lords here. McDavid just got played in the game inside the game. As great as he is(and he is great), McDavid is just 19 and up until now has yet to really play the mental game at the NHL level. He’ll learn how to play it as he gains experience but we can all agree that he got owned mentally by a 6 year pro defender(AHL and NHL).
