As much as Boston would love Shatty I don’t see a fit there. Looking at 7m a year to re-sign to avoid FA and they are only a couple under the cap and Pasta is an RFA next year. Could it be done, sure, but they can’t for a second consider moving Pasta or Carlo. Already without their 2nd, 3rd, 5th round picks (they have Edmontons 2nd) giving up their 1st next year would be tough to do. Not sure there’s enough left to interest StL. Maybe. Could be a high cost for a rental or handcuff yourself cap wise to re-sign him. Right now the D is playing pretty well. It’s the 2nd and 3rd line lack of production that is their problem. They’d be better off letting him play out the season and pursue him via FA if he goes that route and they clear some cap space to do it. St. L isn’t going to let him go cheap.
