Kings problems go beyond the Quick injury. Someone noted that Bujai’s save percentage is pretty good. Their problem like others is the salary cap and Lombardi’s inability to make good choices. That Brown contract is killing them too. Guys like Kopitar need to step up and they don’t have a right winger worth a damn. If not injured, Quick may have been able to steal a few victories, but this is not much more than an average team with a few and not enough good players.

Corsi doesn’t care whether a shot hit the net; does Babcock really not know how it’s calculated? It’s based on the premise that shot attempts are a better representation of possession than shots on goal, which can be affected by things that don’t negate the fact that the puck was in your possession (blocked shots, missed shots, etc.).
