If I’m Edmonton, I don’t sign any pending FA until after July 1st and once I can gauge what McDavid wants for an extension and sign him. He HAS to be the top priority there, no matter how good of a season Leon has.
Chucky, I’m predicting a 5-7 year deal for around $5.5 to $6 million a season. He’s the real deal as Montreal’s top line C and he’s been trending up each year of his career. He still has some holes in his game(faceoffs) but his offensive production is what you’re paying for.
Pastrnak is intriguing to me. I’ve always liked his potential and he’s having a great year this year but he is likely due for some regression in the goals department. With all those other deals already on the B’s cap, it really might be best for them(and their cap) to not go long term on Pastrnak.
